The tenth week once more provided excitement, with a major surprise for the Bills proving the 'any given Sunday' mantra that attracts so many people into the NFL

That result may have opened things up for the New England Patriots to move back into a leading position they used to occupy, with a remaining games that provides them an advantage over their 8-2 rivals

Over in the National Football Conference the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had ideal outcomes to arrange a major confrontation in week 11, while our player of the week is pursuing milestones as well as the Most Valuable Player award

Analysis - Just a Bad Day for the Bills?

Josh Allen in action
Did Josh Allen attempt too much or was it just a poor performance for Buffalo?

Could it simply have been an emotional comedown from defeating Kansas City last week or something more? That's the question for the Bills to address

The Bills had won seven in a consecutive games against the Dolphins but were outperformed from the beginning as the Miami team emerged as 30-13 winners in an eye-opening outcome - and display

MVP quarterback Josh Allen only got the team's opening first down in the third quarter and first points in the final quarter - admittedly Miami had 10 days to prepare but it was still a massive egg laid by one of the NFL's best offenses

Dolphins quarterback Tua threw two scores but running back Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 combined yards and two touchdowns

Bottling up the NFL's top running game was also key, with Cook and teammates registering just eighty-six yards, their lowest of the year and slightly more than half their 161.5-yard season average

Then there were the three crucial turnovers, and the two from Josh Allen in particular. An pass caught by defense in the scoring area resulting in a nine-minute drive yielded no points, and his final quarter dropped ball that the Dolphins converted to seven points just later

It was typical 'previous Bills teams' as they hurt themselves in the foot, getting into a hole on defense and Josh Allen trying to do too much to rescue his squad from the situation - not the calm, disciplined, well-balanced Buffalo team we've seen this season

The Dolphins have demonstrated a bit of everything this season so the verdict is uncertain on whether this is the beginning of something, but for the Bills they'll require an instant response in a tough game against Tampa Bay next week as the Patriots are sneaking into a nice lead at the top of the AFC East

In Focus - Patriots Identify Route to Unexpected First Place

Speaking of the Patriots, they're one of three 8-2 squads in the NFL, all AFC sides, but are they the top team?

You can pick holes in the Patriots, the Broncos and the Colts really for feasting on the weaker opponents, with only five of their total 24 wins achieved against teams with a winning record - and one of those was the Colts beating the Denver

The Broncos defeated the reigning champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are masters of the final quarter while Indianapolis can ride Jonathan Taylor, but the New England adding Sunday's win in Tampa to their primtime success in Buffalo seems like a declaration

Their two defeats occurred in recently appointed coach Vrabel's initial three contests, with seven consecutive wins, just like Denver, from that point - but defeating Mayfield after the Bucs had a bye to prepare was significant

Drake Maye's MVP claims continue to be discussed, and he certainly earns credit for courage after absorbing some savage hits in Tampa but hanging in there to guide his team to success

The defense is reliable and rookie rusher Henderson burst onto the scene on game day with 147 rushing yards and two exciting scores of fifty-five and sixty-nine yards - establishing himself as just the fifth runner to exceed 22 miles per hour this year on his first score

Although you can argue who 'the best' is statistically, the Pats should be favorites to finish with the best record thanks to their remaining opponents - which includes just one game against a winning team, although a significant contest against Buffalo

Traveling to the Ravens is also tough, but the Broncos have it more difficult in the AFC West division with the Kansas City to play twice, the Los Angeles Chargers (who could also compete for first place but encounter the identical challenge) and also the Packers on the fixture list

The Indianapolis also face the Kansas City, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two matchups with the five and four Jacksonville to face. There's a considerable distance to go but the door is open for a shock top seed in the American Football Conference

Next Week - Rams & Seahawks Set for Week 11 Showdown

Two teams with strong arguments to be better than all of the three different eight and two sides are NFC West rivals the Seahawks and Los Angeles, who both put up forty points to reach 7-2 before the upcoming major game between the pair in Los Angeles

Both have secured four victories in a consecutive games, have signal callers in Matthew Stafford and Darnold performing at an elite level (although Darnold had turnover issues on game day) with excellent pass catchers, and defenses allowing under 20 points a contest

Each could realistically be undefeated as too - particularly the Rams as their pair of losses occurred in overtime against the San Francisco and then that agonising loss in Philadelphia when they had a game-winning kick with the final play blocked and returned by the Philadelphia for a touchdown

The Seahawks also lost to the 49ers, with a late touchdown in the opening week, before falling to the final play of the contest against the Tampa Bay - so they're truly two of the best sides in the NFL

The upcoming game on Sunday could be the most exciting of the season so far

Top Performer - Jonathan Taylor

Taylor could be on for a record season after his remarkable performance in Berlin - rushing for 244 yards, registering three scores and contributing another 42 {receiving yards
