Ways these Broncos together with their 'play-dough' QB could halt that Kansas City Chiefs' rule.

Week six of the 2025 NFL season
Live coverage includes text commentary for Sunday's games on multiple platforms, beginning with Denver Broncos v New York Jets in London (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Also, radio commentary is available on designated networks for a separate game (from 21:00 BST).
We're in the sixth week in the NFL season , following recent talk regarding two top teams being possible championship contenders, each lost their unbeaten records.
Notable in those games were the number of penalties both committed. Philadelphia did so in key moments meaning they essentially beat themselves after leading by two touchdowns entering the fourth period against the Denver Broncos, set to play overseas this Sunday.
However it proved good to see how Denver quarterback Bo Nix managed to have that deficit before lead three scoring drives in three attempts during the final period, securing the game 21-17.
Denver have the defensive player of the year in cornerback Pat Surtain II. They rank first in red zone defence, while the Eagles are number one in scoring near the end zone, yet the Broncos prevailed in that battle.
They executed the Eagles' number regarding disguised blitzes. They weren't always sending more than four pass rushers but they could position two LBs in the 'A' gap before withdrawing them and send a slot defender off the edge.
Early on in the campaign, it was noted on a program how the Broncos might emerge as this season's dark horses. They ended last season strongly then did a good job of building upon that.
Could Denver be this season's underdog story?
New TE their tight end has stepped up big and recent RB their rusher is a guy the team trusts. He's currently 5th in the NFL for rushing yards (402) as well as tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (4).
I love how the coach the Broncos' leader displays "RUSH!" prominently on his call sheet.
This demonstrates how the Broncos represent a squad aiming to run first, because one can do a lot based on that approach. It reduces down the pass rush while maintains in favourable situations.
This has benefited QB Bo Nix, who entered into the league as a first-round selection in the prior draft, throwing 29 TDs – second only to Justin Herbert for the rookie record (31 in 2020).
Other elite QBs possess the arm strength to pass anywhere, however they lack in the same way that Nix has. He has exceptional arm talent, a unique trait, and he is highly agile.
His assets are his movement, the capacity to pass on the run, as well as finding varied release points to make the pass when he rolls out of the pocket, on rollouts. He is able to deliver precision throws across the middle or over the corner.
For a young quarterback, at 25, he displays a lot of poise in the pocket and is not really fazed by the blitz. He tries to avoid being tackled whenever possible and is able throw in tight spots. He has sharp intelligence and remains very decisive.
If you constantly rush it consumes time and forces the opponent to be in play for longer, and when you have an athletic quarterback the defence must defend the area vertically side to side. This proves exhausting.
Nix has bitten back with the coach during games sometimes and it seems Payton likes that fire, that he's such a competitor. In my view it's fun for the coach to have a rookie QB that is similar to moldable clay. The coach can truly develop him the way he desires to shape him. I believe it's a special experience for him.
Payton has won a Super Bowl and has passed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed everything. In my opinion the success the Broncos are having on offence is mostly down to his leadership, his schemes, his game sense – and the combination with Nix helps shape him into who he is.
You wouldn't want a better guy in your ear, to assist you through some of the tougher situations and build self-belief.
I have faith in Denver's defence, in the QB's grit and calm. But is the team good enough to face a top squad at its best? Since that wasn't a Super Bowl performance by the Eagles in their last game.
Currently, I don't think Denver are elite. They're working above average, which is a good place to be in the AFC West. The key is is maintain this path.
They're really good at embracing their forte, which is the ground game, and this is precisely what they must do versus the New York Jets at Tottenham. It will likely be a Dobbins-focused game, in essence.
The Jets have allowed 140 yards on the ground per game (sixth worst), five ground scores this season (in the bottom ten), and they're the sole squad without a win any game.
Ever since the league began tracking takeaways decades ago, this team are the first team to go without any turnovers through five games, this is kind of shocking when you think that the head coach Aaron Glenn defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.
Patrick Mahomes stated the Chiefs are off to a poor start following a recent loss to Jacksonville.
After the upcoming matchup, the Broncos have a manageable slate until their bye (in week 12) - the Giants, the Cowboys, the Texans plus the Raiders prior to the Chiefs.
In the AFC West, the Chiefs hold a losing record while Denver are tied with the Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could challenge at leading the West.
It depends on what version Kansas City shows up they meet because the Broncos {beat|def
